The Great Circus
The Great Circus premiered at Manchester International Film Festival in March 2021. The documentary follows the Chimelong International Circus as it prepares a new show for its debut in its new arena.One of the world's biggest circus arenas, the Chimelong Theatre, located in Zhuhai, China, is currently under construction. "The Dragon Show", a full-blown circus show, is now in intense rehearsals for the theatre's opening. As the largest circus troupe in China, Chimelong International Circus has over 300 top circus artists from more than 20 countries. A 3-month deadline makes it seem impossible.
Breathe: B. K. S. Iyengar
B.K.S. lyengar was an Indian yoga teacher, founder of "lyengar Yoga", and one of the world's most famous yoga gurus. Iyengar was born into a large impoverished family. As a sickly child, he suffered from a distended belly and was unable to hold his head up straight. He turned to Yoga for relief, although not without suffering great physical pain in his effort to master Yoga postures. Iyengar regularly travelled around India and the world to teach yoga classes. His method took into account how difficult it is for students to meditate, relax, and control their breathing while being twisted into unnatural postures.
